The Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony has announced the deadline for the Second Installment for Government Hajj Scheme 2026. This is a critical period for all successful applicants, as failure to meet the deadline could lead to the cancellation of the Hajj application. The payment window for the Second Installment is strictly between November 3 to November 15, 2025.
The Government Hajj Scheme 2026 is a meticulously planned process, and the timely payment of the Second Installment is a non-negotiable step. All pilgrims must strictly adhere to the designated timeframe to secure their place for the sacred journey of Hajj.
The payment of the Second Installment marks the final major financial commitment toward the estimated total Hajj dues.

This Second Installment amount is crucial for the Ministry of Religious Affairs to finalize arrangements in Saudi Arabia, which includes accommodation, transportation, and other logistical services for the pilgrims under the Government Hajj Scheme 2026.
The Government Hajj Scheme 2026 total cost, estimated between Rs. 1,150,000 to Rs. 1,250,000, is collected in two parts: the First Installment and the Second Installment. This structure is designed to ease the financial burden on the pilgrims.
The cost is packaged into two main schemes: the Long Hajj Package and the Short Hajj Package.
Long Hajj Package (38 to 42 days):
First Installment: Rs. 500,000
Second Installment: Rs. 650,000
Short Hajj Package (25 to 30 days):
First Installment: Rs. 550,000
Second Installment: Rs. 650,000
Note: The total estimated cost and the breakdown of Hajj dues are subject to change based on final agreements with Saudi service providers. Pilgrims are also reminded that the mandatory animal sacrifice (Qurbani) is generally included through the official Saudi system.
At the time of submitting the Second Installment, pilgrims may also opt for optional, premium accommodation facilities in Makkah Mukarramah, subject to availability. These additional charges will be added to the Second Installment amount.
Double Bed Room (Two members): Rs. 200,000 per person
Triple Bed Room (Three members): Rs. 67,000 per person
The Ministry of Religious Affairs has laid out clear guidelines that Hajj applicants must follow when submitting the Second Installment. Compliance with these terms is essential for the final confirmation of the Government Hajj Scheme 2026 package.
Bank Deposit: Pilgrims must submit their Hajj dues at their respective bank branch and receive a computerized receipt. Those who paid the First Installment online should continue using the online portal.
Hajj Package Selection: It is crucial to choose the Hajj package (Long or Short) carefully, as changes after submitting the Second Installment will generally not be possible.
Data Correction: Before submitting the Second Installment, applicants should ensure all their data is correct. Any required data corrections can be made at the bank branch.
Package Change Requests:
Changing the package from Short to Long may be possible at the bank at the time of Second Installment submission.
Changing from Long to Short requires a written request to the Ministry through the bank and is subject to availability.
Timely Submission is Paramount: The deadline of November 3 to November 15, 2025, is strict. If the Second Installment is not submitted on time, the application for the Government Hajj Scheme 2026 will be canceled.
Refund Policy: In case of cancellation of the Hajj admission at any stage, the Ministry is authorized to make deductions as per applicable regulations before refunding the remaining amount to the applicant’s bank account.
The Hajj Policy 2026, which governs the entire operation, sets out important criteria for eligibility and group formation to ensure a safe and organized pilgrimage experience for all. This includes rules regarding age, documents, and Mehram requirements.
The Ministry of Religious Affairs maintains strict standards, in coordination with Saudi Arabian authorities, for all potential pilgrims.
Passport Validity: A valid Pakistani Passport is mandatory, with an expiry date no earlier than November 26, 2026.
Age Limit: Applicants must be born before March 1, 2014. There is no upper age limit.
Vaccination: An approved Saudi COVID-19 vaccination is mandatory for all pilgrims, especially those aged 65 and above.
Medical Fitness: Pilgrims must submit a Medical Fitness Certificate. Individuals with severe chronic or contagious diseases (such as advanced heart conditions, kidney failure, or contagious illnesses) are generally deemed ineligible for Hajj 2026.
Overseas Pakistanis: Overseas Pakistanis can apply under the regular Government Hajj Scheme by remitting their Hajj dues from abroad to the designated bank accounts.
The social and familial composition of the travel group is also regulated:
Group Size: The group size must not exceed 10 applicants.
Fiqh Consistency: All group members must belong to the same Fiqh (Shia or Sunni).
Mehram for Females:
Females cannot apply for the Government Hajj Scheme 2026 without a Sharee Mehram, except for Fiqh Jafaria females aged 45 years and above.
However, females of any age are eligible to go for Hajj without a Mehram if they travel in a group of reliable females, with the permission of their husband or parents, and upon submitting a required affidavit. This is in line with the decision of the Islamic Nazaryati Counsel.
The Government Hajj Scheme 2026 leverages technology to enhance the pilgrim experience. Pilgrims are strongly encouraged to utilize the digital tools provided.
Pak Hajj Mobile App: Pilgrims are advised to use the 2026 Pak Hajj Mobile App (available for Android and Apple/iOS) for effective communication, updates, and tracking their application status with the Ministry.
Digital Oversight: The overall scheme, including both the Government Hajj Scheme and the Private Hajj Scheme, is subject to digital oversight and a transparent complaint redressal system.
Road to Makkah Initiative: This initiative, operating at major airports like Islamabad and Karachi, streamlines the entry process by completing Saudi immigration procedures on Pakistani soil, ensuring a smoother start to the sacred journey.
The submission of the Second Installment for the Government Hajj Scheme 2026 is the final confirmation of a pilgrim’s place. All successful applicants must ensure their Hajj dues are paid between November 3 and November 15, 2025, to avoid cancellation and successfully proceed with their spiritual preparation for Hajj.
