Shogran is a hill station that is 2,362 metres (7,749 feet) above sea level and is located in the Kaghan Valley in northern Pakistan. It is situated in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
Balakot is 34 kilometres (21 miles) away from Shogran. The 212-kilometer, paved route leading from Islamabad to the area (132 mi). Telenor and Zong are the providers of mobile phone services. The summer months are when it is most inhabited. When senior officials visit or stay at rest homes, entry may be limited.
