Jordan, an Arab nation on the east bank of the Jordan River, is defined by ancient monuments, nature reserves, and seaside resorts. It is home to the famed archaeological site of Petra, the Nabatean capital dating to around 300 B.C. Set in a narrow valley with tombs, temples, and monuments carved into the surrounding pink sandstone cliffs, Petra earns its nickname, the “Rose City.

Itenrary

Meet and assist by our representative in Queen Alia Airport Amman, after all the immigration formalities, then transfer to Amman. Tour of the old city of Amman exploring the Citadel and the Roman Theater, two of the most popular archaeological sites in the city. On this extended city tour, your guide will take you through some of the back streets, markets, and shops of the old city. Overnight in Amman.

After breakfast, we will take you to the powerful Ajlun Castle. Departure at noon through pine forests and olive groves of the best preserved of the Roman city Gerasa, which is called today Jerash, also known as the city of 1,000 pillars. The local guide will take you on a tour of the street of columns, amphitheater, churches, temples, and the great Roman Forum. Then visit Umm Qais Return to the hotel in Amman. Accommodation. After breakfast, we drive to Wadi Shuayb, near Salt, to the Shrine of Prophet Shuayb & Nabi Yousha. From here we head to the Jordan Valley, to the tomb of Abu Ubaida Amer bin Al-Jarrah, a relative of Prophet Mohammad, Commander of the Northern Muslim Army, and one of the Blessed Ten, to whom Mohammad promised paradise. We visit moreover the tomb of Moath bin Jabal, who compiled the Holy Quran during the life of Prophet Mohammad, and the tomb of Derrar bin Al Azwar. The drive to the Dead Sea, visit Nabi Lut’s Cave. After the tour ends, transfer back to your hotel in Amman.

Morning time, we leave Amman toward Petra. Your first visit is to Madaba, where St George’s Greek Orthodox Church has a famous mosaic on the floor. Made during the 6th century AD, the mosaic shows the pilgrimage from the surrounding areas to the Holy Land. You can even find Egypt on this map! Your next visit recalls the story of Moses and his journey to the Promised Land. At Mount Nebo, there is a Memorial for Musa (Moses) and a 4thcentury church that Italian Franciscan priests excavated and restored in 1933. The panoramic view overlooks the Jordan River Valley, the Dead Sea, Jericho, and Jerusalem. In the Bible story, Moses does not ever arrive at the Promised Land, but he was able to see it from a distance before he dies. It is from Mount Nebo that one can see it in the distance (on a clear day). It is also believed that this is the burial place of Moses. Our last stop will be in the Dead Sea, the lowest point on earth, 417 m (1,373 ft.) below sea level, and the largest “Natural Spa” in the world.

Float on the Dead Sea and make the experience of not being able to sink in water. Try the beauty effect of the black mud on the shore. Evening, arrival in Petra, and time to get situated in your hotel.

After breakfast, marvel at the beauty of the ‘Lost City’, the Red Rose City of Petra, exploring its many caves and tombs. Walkthrough the canyon and be astounded at the magnificent Treasury, the entrance guarding the ancient Nabateans city, now one of the Modern 7 Wonders of the World.
After tours end, drive to Wadi Rum. Marvel at the sunset and gaze at the stars in the night sky whilst enjoying the legendary hospitality of the Bedouin, before sleeping at the foot of the awesome mountains exploding out from the desert landscape. Transfer to the Moon Valley and the setting of great Blockbusters and Hollywood movies Wadi Rum for dinner and overnight.
