Great news for those who are eagerly awaiting to go on the hajj pilgrimage. According to media reports, PIA will offer for the very first-time flight fare charges in US dollars for private Hajj program pilgrims. Moreover, PIA airlines have set $1180 dollar base fare for the private Hajj program. Hajj Packages from Pakistan.

Private Hajj Scheme Fares (HGOs):

According to PIA authorities, the Northern region and Southern region airfare for private hajj pilgrims will likely remain in the range from $860 to $1,150 and $810 to $1,100. Furthermore, PIA airlines will start its flight operations from 1st Zilqad to 4th Zilhajj (21 May to 22 June 2023).
 
• Fares stated are exclusive of all applicable taxes
• Fares will be applicable immediately for ticketing for outbound travel from 21 May to 22 June 2023
• South Zone includes only KHI, and all other gateways shall fall under North Zone except UET
• Ex UET-JED/MED lean season south fares are to be applicable in all seasons from all gateways.
 
• JED & MED hajj fares are combinable for all kinds of Cabins/seasonality on a Half RT basis.
• Seasonality dates will be subject to moon sightings, and all types of revisions regarding Departures/Arrival dates will be handled by KSA authorities.

PIA Hajj Pilgrimage Baggage Allowance:

Private hajj pilgrims will be allowed to carry up to 40kg of baggage, and 7 kg hand carry luggage. Moreover, private passengers of economy class will be able to bring along up to 35kg of baggage, and 7 kg hand carry luggage.

Special Hajj Quota:

Previously the Ministry of religious affairs had provided a 25% special quota towards those who deposit their dues in US dollar currency. Moreover, the Ministry would also exempt the pilgrims from the balloting process under the newly announced Hajj policy.
 
According to the Ministry of religious affairs, the new Sponsorship scheme was introduced due to Pakistan’s currently limited foreign exchange reserves, and 22,400 hajj pilgrims will reap the benefits.
