After Europe, the US has also banned the flights of Pakistan International Airlines. US Department of Transportation has notified about the cancellation of PIA Flights in the United States due to concerns over the safety measures. The major reason behind this decision is the issue of the dubious licenses of Pakistani pilots. US Department of Transportation has further said that after the ban the PIA could not conduct the flights of any kind to the United States. Many pilots of Pakistan have been grounded up till now because they falsified their qualifications.
 

PIA Direct Flights from Pakistan to the US

In April, PIA was allowed for the direct flights for the first time in the history of the United States. Air Marshal Arshad Malik submitted the application to the US so that the respective government allows them to conduct Direct Flights from Pakistan to the US. In May, the PIA plane crash took the life of the 97 people that raised the issue and doubtfulness on the license of the pilots.

PIA flights suspended by other countries

Previously the European Union Aviation Safety Agency also suspended the PIA Flights for six months. After EASA, Britain and Vietnam Aviation Authority has restricted the PIA to enter their country as many pilots have fake licenses. Apart from this Malaysia temporarily suspended many Pakistani pilots. The PIA official has verified the announcement made by the US regarding the PIA flight suspension. He furthermore added that the PIA has received an email from the US Department of transportation and we will overcome the doubts of the US as currently, the PIA is in its correction process.
 

Pakistan Airline Pilots’ Association 

The government issued the list of the 262 pilots having the fake license along with 141 pilots of Pakistan International Airlines. PLPA informed that they have not the complete details of the list provided by the government over this issue. Moreover, Pakistan Airline Pilots Association announced to appeal against the list in the court as it contains many highly professional, qualified, and trained pilots.
