The General Civil Aviation Authority, GCAA and the National Crisis and Emergency Management Authority announced that the UAE residents who have received both Covid-19 vaccine doses from an approved company are allowed to return home from August 5th onwards. It has also been decided that for inbound travelers the approval of the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) and Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship (ICA) are mandatory. While living forcedly in these countries the visas of many residents have either expired or their stay has exceeded to over six months outside the country. What To Do If You Have Stayed Outside The UAE For Over 06 Months: 

According to the general rule the UAE residency visa of the people, who live outside the country for over six months continuously, is nullified automatically. In such a case they have to apply for a new entry permit to get entrance permission to the UAE. 
 
However, it has been stated on the official website of The General Directorate of Residency and Foreign Affairs (GDRFA) that the visa application may be rejected based on the reasons related to precautionary measures.

After Filing Your Re-entry Permit:

Employees who have stayed outside the UAE for over six months will be required to show a supporting letter (that will give proof of their employment) received by their sponsors or employers. The letter will be required to show to the immigration officer at the airport. 

Can Travelers Apply For An Entry Permit From Abroad:

Yes, you can apply for an entry permit from abroad. An entry permit is a document issued by ICA or GDRFA and allows foreigners to get entrance permission to the UAE for a certain period. This permit may be physical or an electric form. Check it before apply whether you require an entry permit or you may receive it on arrival. The party that is going to sponsor a person will handle the transaction of entry permit through GDRFA’s offline or online channels. The sponsor can be an organization from the private or public sector, relative, a UAE-based hotel or airline, and so on.
 
There are various types of entry permits depending upon the reasons of the travelers to enter the UAE. The following are the major types of permits:

The entry permit has a validity date and it must be used within the validity period. Most of the entry permits have a validity of two months. The validity is not extended and the permits automatically expire.

At the moment the UAE authorities do not allow visitors to re-enter if their visas are expired. Their sponsors have to cancel the previous visas and apply for a new visa.   

Are Overseas Allowed To Apply For Visa Extension: 

In case, if the resident is overseas there is no provision to apply for a visa extension. However, travel agents and diplomatic missions in the UAE will review the situation and provide proper guidance once restrictions will be lifted completely. 

Does UAE Allow Entry On Tourist Visa:
