There has been a recent event at Masjid Nabawi when two non-Muslim women entered the Masjid. Now Saudi government has planned new steps both for Umrah and Hajj.

According to a report by a Saudi newspaper, the General Presidency for Affairs of the Prophet’s Mosque, a state agency responsible for Islam's two holiest sites, is planning to deploy female security personnel at the Prophet Mohammed's Mosque in Medina as part of their efforts to enhance services.

In preparation for the upcoming Islamic holy month of Ramadan (which includes huge influx of Umrah pilgrims), which begins in late March, the agency recently held a meeting with an operating company of the sacred site to discuss improving security measures and facilities. The report stated that the plans include the introduction of female security personnel to enhance the service system at the mosque.

The meetings were attended by several officials, including the head of the women's security and safety department at the mosque. The month of Ramadan typically sees an increase in Muslims visiting the Grand Mosque in Makkah and the Prophet's Mosque in Medina to perform Umrah.

Recently, Saudi Arabia has implemented various measures to facilitate Umrah for overseas Muslims. The General Presidency for Affairs of the Prophet's Mosque also reported that two non-Muslim women had mistakenly entered the mosque, but were guided by personnel and appreciated the mosque's sanctity and message.
