The Civil Aviation Authority has decided to recommence all the international airports of Pakistan. After equipping the Airports with proper screening and necessary measurements the international air operations will start again from 05:00 am on 21st March 2020. Moreover, Civil Aviation has notified that the flight schedule of Faisalabad Airport, Multan Airport, Sialkot Airport, Peshawar Airport, and Quetta Airport will work according to the previous schedule of flights. However, all the airports except Gwadar and Turbat will revert from Saturday according to the Latest Notification of the Civil Aviation Authority.
 

Highlights Of CIA Earlier Decision:

In order to keep the people safe from the outbreak of coronavirus as the virus is deadly and have effected human life to a larger scale. The National Security Meeting was held on 14th March 2020.In a meeting within National National Security Council the Civil Aviation Authority of Pakistan decided to close five major airports of the country for international flights along with the decision that the international air operations will remain postponed at five major airports including Peshawar Airport, Faisalabad Airport, Quetta Airport, Sialkot Airport and Multan Airport across the country. 
 
 

National Security Council Meeting:

The National Security Council meeting was held on 13th March 2020 in which it was mainly discussed that only the three airports of Pakistan will be given the permission to accept the flights from other countries and the Multan airport, Faisalabad airport, Peshawar airport, Quetta airport, and Sialkot airports are restricted from receiving any international flights. It is also assured that all the people who are traveling must be well equipped with the essential infrastructure and resources for the outbreak of coronavirus. Prime Minister Imran Khan also shed light on the major three airports in which 28 cases of coronavirus were reported by deciding to tackle the issue with the limitation of international flight operations.

Precautions For International Arriving Passengers:

In the wake of coronavirus spread the notification is conveyed that all the national and international airlines, flying clubs have banned by the Civil Aviation authority including pilots, inspectors, examiners from visiting abroad with immediate effect for OPC and PPC till further orders. As a necessary precaution towards the outbreak before boarding approximately 24 hours, every passenger will be required to provide a copy of test results for COVID-19 so that the flight operations remain safe and secure from the spread of disease. 

 

Decision of Making Coronavirus Test Results Mandatory: 

In the press conference held in Islamabad on Tuesday, the Civil Aviation Authority has made it mandatory for international passengers to provide coronavirus test results who are coming in Pakistan before boarding their flights. With each test result, the passenger's name and passport details will be mentioned and further checked by the authorities at the airport on the arrival of the passenger. The Civil Aviation Authority has notified all the airports in Pakistan that it will be their responsibility to check the test before they allow any passenger on the flight and international passengers will submit their completed health declaration form between each disembarkation and embarkation.
