Amid the outbreak of coronavirus, many activities during Ramadan are to be curtailed in Saudi Arabia. The government previously announced that the ban will be maintained on all the congregation prayers in the country including the Taraweeh.
 
Saudi Grand Mufti Sheikh Abdul Aziz al-sheik said that if the coronavirus outbreak continues then prayers during Ramadan and Eid Al Fitr should be performed at home. All the events will be banned that dispense meals in the mosques during Ramadan to break their fasting. The two Imam will lead the tasleemate separately and the Qunoot will be shortened. Due to the safety measures, no one is allowed to do the Itikaf in Ramadan. In both Harams, aftaar services will be canceled and the baskets will be distributed to needy people in Mecca and Medina. The completion of the Quran will be recited and the khatam will be on the 29th night in Qiyaam.
