Umrah Insurance Certificate a Must for Going to Saudi Arabia

The Saudi authorities concerning Hajj and Umrah announced that Umrah Insurance is mandatory for all Muslim pilgrims visiting the Kingdom. The value of Insurance has been set to 100,000 Riyals, which will cover Umrah pilgrims covid 19 cases, disability, death, flight delays, or personal accidents. Umrah insurance plans.

The Saudi ministry has announced the Umrah Insurance program for Umrah pilgrims entering the Kingdom from abroad. Furthermore, this is in line with Saudi Vision 2030, by which the ministry launched the program under the Doyof Al Rahman national program. 

 

The Umrah insurance program is among the Saudi ministry’s initiatives to improve the quality of services provided to Umrah pilgrims from abroad. Moreover, the program aims to compensate pilgrims who might face medical emergencies, death, or accidents. 

 

 

The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah operates the Umrah Insurance program in collaboration with Tawuniya and various other insurance companies. 

The Umrah pilgrims Insurance program will provide

• Peace of mind to pilgrims during their blessed Umrah journey 

• Provide ideal health facilities 

• Medical cover costs related to flight delays (including meals and accommodation)

• Medical & quarantine coverage in case of pilgrim infections resulting from Covid-19

According to the Saudi ministry, it has provided Umrah visa’s to more than 176 nations since the start of the Umrah season from July 30th 2022 (Muharram 1, 1444)

Mr. Hani Al Omairi, a National committee member for Haj Umrah & Visitation, stated that 150 institutions and companies would be providing Umrah pilgrims excellent services until they are done carrying out their religious easily uptil their departure. 

 

 

Mr. Hani Al Omairi also stated that the counties that are mainly carrying out Umrah are Pakistan, Malaysia, Azerbaijan, Turkey, Indonesia, and India. Moreover, he conveyed that number of Umrah pilgrims entering the Kingdom would increase substantially.   

The number of Umrah Pilgrims visiting the Kingdom has reached 30 million during the Islamic year 1444 AH first quarter due to advance services as reported by General Presidency (Grand Mosque and Prophet Mosque affairs).

 

According to the statement by the Saudi Minister Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiah, women are not required to travel with their “marham” who wish to carry out Umrah or Hajj. Furthermore, he clarified that women from any place around the world could carry out Umrah or Hajj.

The minister further stated that there is no limitation on visa issuance, and Muslim pilgrims from any country can visit the Kingdom to carry out Umrah. Earlier Saudi Arabia ministry announced extending the Saudi Umrah visa to three months for all pilgrims worldwide.

 

According to the statement made by Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Baiah (Hajj & Umrah), he announced the Umrah visa extension from one to 3 months during his official Uzbekistan visit.

 

According to the Ministry of Hajj & Umrah, children under five years old can obtain Umrah visa if they are accompanied by parents during their prayers inside the Grand Mosque. 

 

The ministry allowed Women to visit the Prophet’s (PBUM) Mosque Rawdah sharif in the daytime in the way of two shifts, one in the morning (6am-11am) and the other in the evening (9:30pm-12am).

The Saudi Arabia authorities have requested Umrah issuance companies to provide permits to pilgrims who wish to visit the Prophet’s(PBUM) mosque and Grand Mosque. Furthermore, the ministry stated that Umrah visa issuance companies to guide Muslims regarding visiting permits for approved times who wish to visit Makkah and Grand mosque.

 

The ministry clarified that the procedure is intended for those Muslim pilgrims who wish to repeat their Urmah during their Makkah stay. Furthermore, the ministry emphasized that Umrah companies fulfill their commitments concerning their Umrah pilgrims packages and provide quality services.

 

The Saudi Ministry of Hajj & Umrah stated that they are strictly monitoring the services provided by Umrah companies and agencies to conform to quality standards. Moreover, the ministry said that they would not allow any shortcomings concerning Umrah pilgrim's services.

 

The ministry emphasized that their field and inspection teams are making round-the-clock tours and inspections to assess Umrah services to conform to their quality standards.
