The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) immigration authorities at Faisalabad International Airport offloaded 13 passengers, including three women, who were allegedly attempting to travel illegally to Europe under the cover of an Umrah package.
According to FIA officials, the passengers were scheduled to travel from Faisalabad to Jeddah on flight FZ-356. However, immigration staff became suspicious during the clearance process after observing unusual travel patterns and questionable documentation linked to the group’s Umrah package.
The incident has once again raised concerns regarding the misuse of Umrah visas and Umrah packages for illegal migration attempts to Europe through Middle Eastern and North African transit routes.
