Flyadeal Launches Multiple Flights from Pakistan

Flyadeal, the low-cost carrier (LCC) owned by Saudia Group, is significantly ramping up its operations in Pakistan, announcing the launch of four new flight routes between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan starting late August 2025. The airline’s rapid expansion underscores the growing demand for travel between the two countries and highlights Flyadeal's strategic vision to become a dominant player in the South Asian aviation corridor.

The new Flyadeal flights from Pakistan will include connections between Riyadh and Islamabad, Peshawar, and Sialkot, along with Karachi to Dammam. These new routes will commence operations between August 24 and August 26, with frequencies ranging from two to three flights per week, operated using the airline’s Airbus A320 fleet.

This expansion more than doubles the number of Pakistani cities served by the airline, which made its entry into the Pakistan market earlier in February 2025 with flights fro Karachi to Jeddah and Karachi to Riyadh.

 

A Growing Market from Pakistan to Saudi Flights

Flyadeal’s decision to launch these new routes comes at a time when travel between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan is seeing a robust surge. The move not only increases Flyadeal’s international network but also fulfills an urgent need for more affordable and frequent flights between the two nations. According to CEO Steven Greenway, Flyadeal’s long-term plan is to have international routes contribute at least 50% of its total network, and the Pakistan expansion is a crucial milestone in that trajectory.

Notably, the Riyadh–Sialkot route is currently unserved since Pakistan International Airlines withdrew from the segment in late 2023. Flyadeal will become the only airline operating this direct connection, giving it a first-mover advantage and offering Pakistani travelers in Sialkot a much-needed direct link to the Saudi capital.

Jeddah–Karachi with 901,500 passengers

Jeddah–Lahore with 840,000 passengers

Jeddah–Islamabad with 688,000 passengers

These figures underscore the importance of Flyadeal flights to Jeddah from Pakistan, particularly for travelers visiting family, performing Umrah, or working in Saudi Arabia.

Pakistan will prove a great market for Flyadeal 

With this expansion, Pakistan has become one of Flyadeal’s key international destinations. According to data from OAG Schedules Analyser, the two-way seat capacity between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia in July 2025 stands at 660,500, a sharp rise from 485,200 in July 2024. This positions Pakistan as the third-largest international market for Saudi Arabia, while Saudi Arabia ranks second-largest from Pakistan.

The significant increase in seat capacity also reflects larger demographic and economic trends:

Labor migration continues as Pakistanis form the second-largest expatriate community in Saudi Arabia—an estimated 2.64 million nationals live and work across the kingdom.

Flyadeal’s rapid expansion in Pakistan is supported by its growing fleet. As of mid-2025, the airline operates 41 Airbus A320-family aircraft and three Airbus A330s, according to the CAPA Fleet Database. The airline has ambitious plans to grow its fleet to 98 aircraft within the next four and a half years, including A321neo and A330neo models, aimed at enabling longer routes and higher capacity on busy sectors.

This fleet growth will allow Flyadeal to further strengthen its position in South Asia, the Middle East, and potentially tap into other high-growth regions like Africa and Central Asia.
